Mumbai, May 4: Actor Babil Khan has broken his silence after a recent emotional video sparked concern among fans and followers. The 'Logout' and 'Friday Night Plan' actor clarified that the video, which many thought indicated personal distress or intoxication, was “extremely misinterpreted”.

Taking to Instagram Stories, Babil shared a statement clarifying his intentions behind the clip. “The video was extremely misinterpreted. I was trying to show support to @ananyapanday @shanayakapoor02 @gouravadarsh @arjunkapoor @raghavjuval @arijitsingh. I genuinely don't have the energy to indulge more but I do this as responsibility for my peers that I truly admire,” he wrote.

In a separate update, Babil also penned heartfelt messages to his contemporaries. He called Raghav Juyal his "icon, idol, and elder brother", and expressed love for Siddhant Chaturvedi, calling him "brother".

Actress Ananya Panday, who was also mentioned in the video, came out in support of Babil, resharing his story and writing, “Only love and good energy for you Babil, always in ur corner.”

Earlier, Babil’s team released a formal statement explaining the actor's intentions. “Babil was sincerely acknowledging a few of his peers whom he believes are making meaningful contributions to the evolving landscape of Indian cinema. His admiration was heartfelt, not a cause for concern,” the statement read.

Despite the clarification, the video drew mixed reactions online. While many expressed concern for his wellbeing, some speculated that he might have been intoxicated, leaving comments like "Doesn’t seem to be in senses" and "Saying truth in fully intoxicated condition."

However, Babil’s message has made it clear that his intentions were rooted in admiration and support for his peers, urging audiences to view the video in full context.
