Glasgow, May 5: Actress Mrunal Thakur is on cloud nine as she collaborates with veteran filmmaker David Dhawan for his upcoming film Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai. Taking to Instagram, the Sita Ramam star expressed her excitement, saying, “Still pinching myself! Guyssssss I’M DAVID DHAWAN’S HEROINE! I’m beyond grateful Sir.”

The film is currently being shot in Glasgow, where Mrunal shared a candid picture with the director, resting her head on his shoulder as both smiled warmly for the camera.

Joining the shoot recently was actress Mouni Roy, who shared behind-the-scenes glimpses with co-stars Mrunal and Varun Dhawan. “So glad to be on set with my beauty @mrunalthakur & the dapper @varundvn,” she captioned her post, tagging the film’s initials #HJTIHH.

Backed by Ramesh Taurani under the Tips banner, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai marks the much-awaited reunion of David Dhawan with son Varun Dhawan. The film features a star-studded cast including Chunkey Panday, Pooja Hegde, Maniesh Paul, Jimmy Shergill, Rakesh Bedi, Ali Asgar, Kubbra Sait, Rohit Saraf, Rajeev Khandelwal, Nitish Nirmal, and Sreeleela.

Interestingly, the film takes its title from a hit song in David Dhawan’s 1999 comedy Biwi No. 1, which featured Salman Khan and Karisma Kapoor.

Earlier, Varun and Pooja Hegde were seen shooting sequences in Rishikesh for the same project.

Meanwhile, Mrunal has a packed slate with Shaneil Deo’s Dacoit opposite Adivi Sesh, the sequel Son of Sardaar 2 with Ajay Devgn, and a romantic entertainer with Siddhant Chaturvedi in the pipeline.
