Mumbai, May 8: Actor Arjun Kapoor shared a deeply emotional tribute to his late grandmother, Nirmal Kapoor, reflecting on the profound impact her passing has had on his life. Taking to Instagram on Thursday, Arjun offered a moving glimpse into his relationship with his dadi, calling her love a constant source of comfort through life’s many ups and downs.

In his touching post, Arjun uploaded a series of heartwarming photos from his childhood, along with family portraits and a video capturing intimate moments spent with his grandmother. The tribute offered fans a look into the powerful family bond they shared.

“I grew up around all my four grandparents & for that I will be eternally grateful,” Arjun wrote. “I bid goodbye to Dadi last Friday at the hospital — it felt like a part of my childhood & my life went away with her.”

Remembering her nurturing presence, Arjun added, “Age is a cruel mistress… but Dadi for me was always just the same — always feeding us, always worried about us, always there… now she won’t be. But I feel through her four children and all of us grandchildren, her legacy will live on.”

In a touching personal note, he signed off with: “Love you Dadi. Aapka khubsoorat grandson ARJAN (she always said my name like that).”

Nirmal Kapoor, the matriarch of the Kapoor family, passed away on May 2 at the age of 90 at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai. Her funeral was held on May 3 at Pawan Hans Crematorium, attended by several prominent Bollywood figures including Karan Johar, Rani Mukerji, and Farhan Akhtar.

She was the mother of Boney Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor, and Reena Kapoor Marwah, and grandmother to some of Bollywood’s brightest stars — Sonam, Rhea, Harshvarrdhan, Janhvi, Khushi, Arjun, Anshula, Shanaya Kapoor, and Mohit Marwah.

Nirmal Kapoor’s passing marks the end of an era in the Kapoor family, but her memory lives on through her children and grandchildren — a legacy built on love, unity, and warmth that continues to bind one of Bollywood’s most iconic families.
