Mumbai, May 14: Bollywood actor Preity Zinta has made it crystal clear that she will not tolerate any invasion of her children's privacy. The Veer-Zaara star, who is a mother to twins Jai and Gia, expressed her firm stance during a recent Ask Me Anything (AMA) session on X (formerly Twitter).

Zinta, who is married to Gene Goodenough, emphasized that any attempt to take photos or videos of her children without her consent will result in her “Kali avatar” making an appearance. "Taking my kids’ pictures will bring out my Kali avatar. Otherwise, I’m a happy person," she wrote in a strong message to her followers.

Preity also shared her frustration about people filming or photographing her without permission, pointing out that it’s an irritating intrusion into her private life. "Don’t start making videos without my permission. Just ask me politely, and please leave my kids alone," she added, using folded hands and heart emojis to make her point.

Joining the ranks of other celebrity parents like Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli, as well as Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, who have kept their children's faces away from the public eye, Preity has been vocal about protecting her twins from unnecessary exposure. In the same session, she also revealed that she dislikes being photographed in places like temples, airports, and bathrooms, highlighting her desire for personal space.

In a lighter moment, Preity thanked her fans for the interactive session, humorously noting, "If I have spammed people’s timelines with this chat, then oops! I did it again." She also requested the media to quote her statements in full, emphasizing that while she can handle criticism, the privacy of her family is non-negotiable.

Preity and Gene welcomed their twins via surrogacy in November 2021. The actress had previously spoken about her decision to protect her children's faces from the public eye until they are old enough to make their own choices regarding exposure.

On the professional front, Preity's last appearance was in the popular TV series Fresh Off the Boat, marking a brief return to the screen after a hiatus from Bollywood.
