Mumbai, May 16: Actor Sidharth Malhotra’s much-anticipated folk thriller ‘Vvan - Force of the Forrest’ is now slated for a grand theatrical release on May 15, 2026, the makers revealed on Friday. The announcement brings a wave of excitement for fans eager to see Malhotra in a rugged, earthy avatar in what promises to be a high-octane cinematic experience rooted in Indian folklore.

Jointly produced by Ektaa R Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms Ltd and popular digital content house The Viral Fever (TVF), the film is being helmed by Arunabh Kumar and Deepak Mishra, the acclaimed duo behind the hit web series Panchayat.

“The forest has whispered. The force will be unleashed on 15th May, 2026! Get ready for the big screen adventure!”

The film will also feature actress Tamannaah Bhatia, adding further star power to the already buzzworthy project. While details of the plot are still under wraps, insiders hint at a gripping tale set deep within mystical forests, blending thrills, tradition, and tribal lore.

Originally slated for a release during Chhath Puja in 2025, the movie’s date has now been pushed forward to allow for extensive post-production work and scale-up of visual effects, industry sources said. The move aims to deliver a richer visual experience fitting of the film’s ambitious setting.

‘Vvan - Force of the Forrest’ marks the first collaboration between Balaji Telefilms and TVF since announcing their creative partnership in 2023 — a union expected to blend cinematic grandeur with digital-age storytelling flair.

With its new date locked and anticipation running high, ‘Vvan’ is shaping up to be one of the most-awaited releases of 2026, combining folklore, suspense, and star-studded performances.
