Mumbai, May 17: Hollywood icon Tom Cruise, in India for the release of Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, has expressed a heartfelt admiration for Indian cinema and culture, even revealing his desire to make a Bollywood-style film someday.

During the film’s global promotional tour, Cruise fondly reminisced about his previous visit to India, calling it an unforgettable experience. “I feel so much love for India — the people, the culture, everything. Visiting the Taj Mahal, spending time in Mumbai — every moment is etched in my memory,” he shared.

His love for Bollywood was equally enthusiastic. “I would love to go back to India and make a film there. I’ve always admired Bollywood — the music, the dance, the sheer talent it takes to sing, dance, and act. It’s such a natural, beautiful expression of storytelling,” he said.

Cruise added that Bollywood musicals have captivated him since childhood, praising their unique charm. “I love it when a character just breaks into a song in the middle of a scene. It’s something truly special and I’d love to be part of that kind of film.”

The actor also spoke warmly of the friendships he’s built in India and said he looks forward to returning. “I’ve met so many amazing people in India. I can’t wait to come back,” he said.

Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning has premiered in India in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu formats, including 4DX and IMAX, six days ahead of its US release.
