Mumbai, May 26: Celebrated actor Ninad Kamat is all set to captivate audiences with his portrayal of Pedro in the upcoming crime thriller web series KanKhajura, which premieres on Sony LIV from May 30.

Known for his dynamic performances, Ninad brings his signature energy to the set. “I’m cracking one-liners and trying to get everyone to join in the fun most of the time,” he shared, adding that while he enjoys the lighter moments, he always respects his co-actors' space.

Reflecting on the Goa shoot, Ninad said, “The weather was hot, but it was great fun because of Chandan, our director, and my co-actors. We bonded well, which made the entire experience truly wholesome.”

Although he doesn’t entirely relate to his character Pedro, Ninad revealed that they share one key trait responding emotionally to people and situations. “Everything else is perhaps my skill set in making people believe that I am Pedro,” he remarked.

Co-star Roshan Mathew, who plays Ashu in the series, spoke about his character’s emotional depth. “Though he might work in mysterious ways, he’s a fairly clear guy. All he wants is to be a part of the family, a part of the gang,” he said.

Directed by Chandan Arora, KanKhajura features a powerful ensemble cast including Mahesh Shetty, Mohit Raina, Roshan Mathew, Sarah Jane Dias, Trinetra Haldar, and Usha Nadkarni.

Inspired by the acclaimed Israeli series Magpie, the drama created by Adam Bizanski, Omri Shenhar, and Dana Eden follows two estranged brothers as they confront their haunting past in the vibrant yet dark backdrop of Goa.

Backed by Donna and Shula Productions, KanKhajura promises a gripping mix of suspense, emotion, and human drama.
