Sonu Sood faces backlash for riding bike without helmet in Spiti Valley

Shimla, May 27: Actor and philanthropist Sonu Sood has come under fire after a video showing him riding a bike without a helmet or safety gear in Himachal Pradesh's Spiti Valley went viral on social media. The clip, which shows Sood shirtless and wearing sunglasses while leading a group of bikers through snow-covered terrain, has triggered criticism for promoting unsafe riding.

What stunned netizens was the irony Sood has previously advocated for road safety and responsible travel. The video was originally posted by an Instagram page titled "Ride With Victor." While other clips show the actor wearing a helmet and protective gear, the particular segment of him riding bareheaded caused uproar.

An X user questioned, “So will @himachalpolice take any action on @SonuSood for riding naked without a helmet in Spiti? No protective gear, no clothes for god knows what he is trying to promote. Are celebrities above the law?”

Another user slammed the actor with a jibe, “He is trying to revive his flop career, this is the trailer before he opens his OF account?”

As of now, no official statement has been released by Sonu Sood or the Himachal Pradesh Police. The incident has reignited the debate on celebrities setting the right example and adhering to laws, especially in public spaces.
