Mumbai, Jun 2: Pop sensation Ed Sheeran has dropped a sneak peek of his upcoming track, “Sapphire,” leaving fans buzzing with anticipation. Taking to Instagram on Monday, the English singer-songwriter shared a lively behind-the-scenes clip featuring none other than Bollywood legend Shah Rukh Khan and superstar singer Arijit Singh.

The video, which quickly went viral, shows Sheeran soaking up the vibrant Indian culture—jamming with Arijit over coffee on a barge, getting a Punjabi tattoo, and even belting out Hindi lyrics. In a particularly memorable moment, Shah Rukh Khan is seen singing a snippet of “Sapphire” while Sheeran cheers him on.

“Sapphire,” slated for release on June 5, 2025, marks the third single from Sheeran’s upcoming album Play, following the success of “Old Phone” and “Azizam.”

This isn’t Sheeran’s first brush with SRK. The duo previously met last year at SRK’s iconic Mannat residence in Mumbai, where they delighted fans by striking SRK’s signature pose. Their joint Instagram post at the time, captioned “This is the Shape Of Us spreading love,” sent social media into a frenzy.

In the latest video, SRK sports a loose shirt with a papercut print, ripped jeans, and sneakers, while Sheeran rocks black pants, a marble-print sweatshirt, and Jordans. The pair even jammed to “Deewangi Deewangi” from Om Shanti Om, adding to the fans’ excitement.

Beyond the star-studded camaraderie, Sheeran’s embrace of Indian culture—playing traditional instruments, mingling with college dance troupes, and singing in Hindi—cements his place as a global artist who celebrates local traditions.

With “Sapphire” just around the corner, fans are counting the days until Ed Sheeran’s next musical chapter unfolds.
