Mangalore: FIEO to Hold ‘Export Vision 2020’ on Feb 13

Mangalore, Feb 3: The Federation of Indian Export Organizations (FIEO), set up by the ministry of commerce, Government of India,  is organizing a conclave of all exporters of the state on February 13, here. The most important feature of this meet is the collaboration of the Union Ministry for Corporate Affairs.

The conclave will have a plenary session and technical sessions. The plenary session will be addressed by chief minister of Karnataka and union ministers for corporate affairs, surface transport, commerce and industry along with state minister for industry, state ministers from the districts of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi.


The technical sessions will be addressed by director general of foreign trade (DGFT), secretary of ministry of surface transport and corporate affairs along with principal secretary of industry, government of Karnataka.

The meet will be held in association with FKCCI Bangalore, KCCI Mangalore, UCCI Udupi, NKCCI Karwar and all other trade bodies of state of Karnataka.

Announcing foreign trade policy 2009 – 2014 Anand Sharma, union minister of commerce and industry had set before the country an ambitious export target of USD 500 billions during financial year 2013 -14.  FIEO the apex body of all the exporters from India has a membership of over 15,000. Besides facilitating growth in exports, FIEO has also taken up the legitimate grievances of the exporters before the policy makers.
