Bangalore, Feb 4: Bangalore-based Rave iBand claims to be Asia's first ever band of its kind.

Rave iBand comprises serious musicians who play music using smart phones and tablets (the guitarist uses a guitar application, drummer uses a drum application, etc) In fact even the vocalist sings into a smartphone using a microphone applicationlication.

Band members include Riccha Paul on two Smart Phones (Mic application, percussion application), Charan Raj on two Tablets (piano application, guitar application), Dj JDee on two Tablets (Dj application, Sampler application) and Vanil Veigas on one Tablet and one Smart Phone (Percussion application, flute application). The music is directed by Ricky Kej at  Raveolution Studios, Bangalore.

Played entirely using smartphones and tablets, the Rave iBand's jazz blues version of ‘Sheila Ki Jawani’ is a cool rhapsody that does not dilute the experience of campy music.
