Beltangady, Nov 4: A 26-year-old man was killed after his motorcycle collided with an autorickshaw at Panjalbailu in Moodukodi, near Venur, on the evening of November 3.

The deceased has been identified as Swastik, a resident of Peradi village who worked as a branch manager at a jewellery shop in Venur. The accident occurred while he was returning home after work.

Although he was rushed to hospital immediately, he reportedly breathed his last on the way.

Swastik is survived by his mother and two sisters. A case has been registered at Venur police station.
