Fire breaks out in 22-storey building in Goregaon, no casualties reported

Mumbai, Aug 25: A fire broke out in a flat on the 12th floor of a 22-storey residential building in Goregaon (East), Mumbai, on Sunday afternoon, civic officials said. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

The blaze erupted around 3.30 pm in Vaishnav Height, located on Rani Sati Marg, opposite Balaji Hospital. The fire gutted electrical wiring, electronic devices, furniture, and other household items inside the flat.

Eight fire engines were rushed to the spot, and the flames were brought under control after two-and-a-half hours, around 6 pm.

The exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, officials added.
