Jerusalem, Sep 17: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu extended warm birthday greetings to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, calling him a "dear friend" and celebrating his achievements for India and the enduring bond between the two nations.
In a heartfelt video message shared by his office on social media platform X, Netanyahu praised Modi for his leadership and said he looks forward to deepening the strategic partnership between India and Israel.
“Prime Minister Modi, my good friend Narendra,” Netanyahu said in the message. “I want to wish you a happy birthday. You’ve accomplished so much for India, and together we’ve achieved a great deal in strengthening the friendship between India and Israel. I look forward to seeing you soon, so we can take our partnership to even greater heights. Happy birthday, my friend.”

Modi, who turned 75 today, was born on September 17, 1950, in Mehsana, Gujarat. He served as the state’s Chief Minister from 2001 to 2014 and is currently serving his third consecutive term as India’s Prime Minister since taking office in 2014.

Earlier, on India’s 79th Independence Day, Netanyahu had also conveyed his greetings to PM Modi and the people of India, underlining the shared values and mutual aspirations of both nations.
“Congratulations to my dear friend PM Narendra Modi and the people of India on your Independence Day,” Netanyahu had said. “Israel and India are two proud democracies, bound by history, innovation, and friendship. Our nations have achieved much together, and the best chapters of our partnership still lie ahead.”
With strong diplomatic ties and a shared vision for innovation and growth, both leaders have consistently expressed their commitment to pushing the India-Israel relationship to new frontiers.
