Hyderabad, Sep 27: Pawan Kalyan’s gangster action thriller They Call Him OG, directed by Sujeeth, has stormed the box office, registering the biggest opening of 2025. Released on September 25, the film earned an estimated Rs 90 crore in India on its first day, including Rs 25 crore from premiere shows, surpassing Rajinikanth’s Coolie to become the seventh-biggest opener for a Telugu film and the eighth-biggest opener for an Indian film domestically.
However, collections dipped sharply on day two, with the film earning Rs 19.6 crore nett, a 69.25% drop, taking its two-day India total to Rs 104.35 crore nett, according to Sacnilk.

Globally, the film performed impressively, collecting Rs 144 crore worldwide on its first day, including Rs 42.50 crore from overseas markets. The opening outpaced Prabhas’ Saaho, Jr NTR’s Devara, and Thalapathy Vijay’s Leo.
In the film, Pawan Kalyan plays Ojas Gambheera, a ruthless gangster seeking to reclaim his empire and exact revenge on Omi Bhau, portrayed by Emraan Hashmi in his Telugu debut. The ensemble cast includes Priyanka Mohan, Prakash Raj, Arjun Das, Sriya Reddy, Shaam, with a cameo by Jackie Shroff.
