Bengaluru, Sep 28: Popular Kodagu-born actress Daisy Bopanna, well known to Kannada cinema audiences, is making a comeback to the silver screen after a long hiatus. Daisy, who charmed viewers with memorable roles in Kannada, Tamil, and Telugu films, was last seen in the 2012 Kannada movie “Crazy Loka.”

After a 13-year break, the actress has completed filming for her role in the upcoming Kannada film “Birbal-2,” directed by Srini, who also plays the lead. Daisy gained wide acclaim for her performance in the hit film “Gaalipata,” and her return has created a buzz among fans and industry insiders alike.

The first “Birbal” film, released in 2019, introduced actress Rukmini Vasanth as the female lead. Rukmini is currently busy with multiple projects, including “Kantara-1.”

According to the production team, most of the shooting for “Birbal-2” is complete, and Daisy Bopanna’s portions have already been wrapped up, marking her much-anticipated re-entry into Sandalwood.
