Mumbai, Oct 1: Television actor Avika Gor, who rose to fame with her portrayal of Anandi in the popular serial Balika Vadhu, tied the knot with her longtime boyfriend Milind Chandwani earlier today. The wedding took place on the sets of the reality show Pati, Patni, Aur Panga, where the couple were contestants.
Avika looked radiant in a red bridal lehenga paired with green emerald jewellery, while Milind complemented her in a golden sherwani. Following the ceremony, the newlyweds delighted paparazzi by distributing sweets. The wedding was also broadcast on Colors TV, with the show airing every Saturday and Sunday at 9:30 pm.
The occasion was graced by several well-known personalities from the film and television industry, including Sonali Bendre, Hina Khan, Rocky Jaiswal, Rubina Dilaik, Abhinav Shukla, Gurmeet Choudhary, Debina Bonnerjee, Sudesh Lehri, Mamta Lehri, Swara Bhaskar, Fahad Ahmad, Geeta Phogat, and Pawan Kumar. Special guests at the celebration included Krushna Abhishek, Farah Khan, Rakhi Sawant, and Samarth Jurel.
Speaking about the special day, Avika shared with the Hindustan Times, “There are days when I wake up and remind myself that it’s real. I feel very lucky and blessed to have found a partner who supports me, understands me, and always pushes me to grow in life.” She also expressed that both families were equally excited about the union.
Explaining her choice to marry on national television, the 28-year-old actor said, “I’ve been in the public eye since 2008, and the love and blessings I’ve received from people have been overwhelming. I wanted my audience, who have been such an important part of my journey, to also be a part of this special moment, and in some way, I manifested this.”
Avika and Milind began dating in 2020 and often shared glimpses of their relationship on social media. While Avika earned immense popularity with Balika Vadhu and Sasural Simar Ka, she has also carved a niche in Telugu cinema with films like Lakshmi Raave Maa Intiki, Cinema Choopistha Mava, #Bro, and Net.
