Mumbai, Oct 6: Actor and dancer Raghav Juyal is winning hearts for his role as Parvez in Aryan Khan’s directorial debut, The Ba**ds of Bollywood*, streaming on Netflix India. In the satire, Raghav plays the best friend of Aasman (Lakshya), a rising Bollywood actor.

For Raghav, the shoot was extra special as it led him to Mannat, the iconic sea-facing residence of Shah Rukh Khan and his son Aryan. “The first time I entered Mannat, there was a scanner like at the airport. I had to go through it because people were like, ‘Who is this guy?’” Raghav recalled.

He humorously added, “By mistake, I asked Aryan which was his room, then realised this is Shah Rukh Khan’s house — you don’t have rooms here, you have full floors. Aryan just laughed and said, ‘Come, let’s go up.’ We sat there and jammed, and later went out for dinner with his friends.”

Excited after the visit, Raghav immediately called his mother. “I told her, ‘Mummy, I just came from Mannat.’ She started asking about everything — the bathroom, the library — and I had to tell her, ‘Mummy, I didn’t go there as a broker, please relax!’”

Raghav, who hails from a family of Shah Rukh Khan fans, described the experience as surreal. “It’s a huge deal for me. I’m a diehard fan. We’ve been making his fan accounts since Orkut days. Whenever I’ve worked with him, it always feels like a dream. This time was no different,” he told SCREEN.

Raghav is also reportedly part of Siddharth Anand’s upcoming gangster thriller King, starring Shah Rukh in the titular role and produced by Red Chillies Entertainment. Reflecting on his journey, he said, “My first meeting with Shah Rukh sir was years ago during Happy New Year (2014). This was the first time I was in direct contact with Aryan. I was selected after an audition, and the rest is history.”
