Kundapur: Inauguration of Moodlakatte IMJ Health and Science Block held

Kundapur, Oct 16: The IMJ Group of Institutions, Moodlakatte, organised the grand inauguration of the IMJ Health and Science Block along with the commencement ceremony on October 13.

The event marked a significant milestone in the institution’s journey, with the launch of the 6th batch of BSc Nursing, 2nd batch of Allied Health Sciences, and the 1st batch of Physiotherapy courses.

The programme commenced with the inauguration of the new IMJ Health and Science Block, followed by the formal commencement ceremony. Professor Jennifer Freeda Menezes, principal of Moodlakatte College of Nursing, delivered the welcome address, setting a warm and enthusiastic tone for the event.

The chief guest of the occasion, Professor Dr U T Iftikhar Fareed, president, Karnataka State Allied & Health Care Council, highlighted the importance of professionalism, compassion, and dedication in the healthcare profession. He also commended the IMJ institutions for their commitment to providing quality education and shaping skilled healthcare professionals.

The programme also witnessed the presence of Nagaraj Shetty, principal, Excellent PU College, Sunnari, and Ganesh Shetty, principal, Jnanasudha PU College, Manipa, as guests of honour. Both emphasised the value of education, the need for discipline, and the role of dedication in students’ academic journeys.

Distinguished dignitaries including director (academics), IMJ Institutions Dr S N Bhat, director (brand building) IMJ Institutions Dr Ramakrishna Hegde, principal, Moodlakatte College of Nursing Professor Jennifer Freda Menezes, and dean Physiotherapy and Allied Health Sciences Dr Padmacharan Swain, were present on the dais.

The ceremony concluded with the rendition of the National Anthem.
