Mumbai, Oct 29: The much-anticipated trailer of “Maharani 4” dropped on Wednesday, setting the stage for an electrifying new chapter in Rani Bharti’s political saga. The latest season teases a turbulent battle for dominance that will redefine the balance of power in her empire.
This season welcomes two prominent additions to the ensemble cast — Rajeshwari Sachdev and Darsheel Safary — who are set to bring fresh intensity to the already volatile world of Maharani.
Rajeshwari Sachdev described her entry into the series as both exciting and meaningful. “‘Maharani’ isn’t just a show—it’s a mirror reflecting the pulse of politics and power,” she said. “Joining this world with a character that drives such crucial moments in the narrative is incredibly thrilling. The writing is bold, the stakes are high, and I can’t wait for the audience to see the storm my character unleashes in Rani Bharti’s world.”

For Darsheel Safary, best known for his early breakout roles, the series marks a pivotal moment in his acting journey. “This is more than just a role—it’s a turning point,” he shared. “This season dives deeper into the chaos of power, and my character steps right into the eye of that storm. Expect the unexpected, because nothing stays the same.”
Directed by Puneet Prakash, produced by Kangra Talkies Pvt. Ltd., and created by Subhash Kapoor, Maharani 4 brings back Huma Qureshi in the titular role alongside Shweta Basu Prasad, Vipin Sharma, Amit Sial, Vineet Kumar, Shardul Bhardwaj, Kani Kusruti, and Pramod Pathak.
The first three seasons chronicled Rani Bharti’s dramatic evolution—from a simple homemaker thrust into Bihar’s brutal political arena to a seasoned leader navigating betrayal, ideology, and survival. Inspired by real political events, the series has earned praise for blending realism with gripping storytelling.
• Season 1 (1995–1999) drew from Bihar’s 1990s political landscape, including events surrounding Lalu Prasad Yadav, Rabri Devi, the Fodder Scam, and the Laxmanpur Bathe massacre.
• Season 2 (1999–2000) explored scandals and power shifts inspired by the Shilpi-Gautam murder, Sadhu Yadav, and Bihar’s 2000 Assembly elections.
• Season 3 reflected more recent political themes, including the Jitan Ram Manjhi episode and internal party dynamics.
With its sharp writing, powerful performances, and grounded portrayal of political ambition, Maharani 4 promises to up the ante.
The series premieres November 7 on Sony LIV, inviting viewers once again into the stormy corridors of Bihar’s political heartland—where loyalty is fragile, and power is the ultimate prize.
