Mangaluru: Srinivas Institute of Dental Sciences welcomes 14th BDS batch with ‘AARAMBH’ ceremony

Mangaluru, Oct 31: The ceremony was inaugurated and presided over by Dr CA A Raghavendra Rao, chancellor of Srinivas University and president of A Shama Rao Foundation, Mangaluru. He was joined by Vijayalakshmi R Rao, trustee, Board of Governors, Srinivas University and secretary, A Shama Rao Foundation, and Prof (Er) Mitra S Rao, trustee, Board of Governors, Srinivas University and secretary, A Shama Rao Foundation.

Dr K Sathyanarayana Reddy, vice chancellor of Srinivas University, addressed the gathering and inspired the students with his motivational speech.

Prof (Dr) K Reshma Pai, dean of the Institute, welcomed the dignitaries and highlighted the academic achievements of students in the RGUHS examinations, while extending a warm welcome to the incoming batch.

Prof (Dr) Hemanth M, head of the department of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology, provided an overview of the BDS curriculum. Senior students and interns shared their enriching experiences at the institution, while new students and their parents expressed their aspirations and appreciation for the field of dentistry and the college.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Prof (Dr) Praveena Shetty, head of the Department of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedic. Programme was concluded with National Anthem.
