Mumbai, Nov 12: Veteran Bollywood actor Govinda has been admitted to CritiCare Hospital in Juhu after he reportedly fainted at his residence late on Tuesday night.

According to reports, the 61-year-old actor experienced disorientation before losing consciousness. His close friend and legal advisor, Lalit Bindal, confirmed the development, stating that Govinda was initially given medication following a telephonic consultation with a doctor but was later rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment around 1 a.m.

“He was given medicine after consulting a doctor and admitted to the hospital in an emergency at 1 a.m.,” Bindal told.

Bindal further added that Govinda has undergone several medical tests and is currently awaiting the reports. However, he refrained from sharing further details about the actor’s health condition.

It may be recalled that in October last year, the actor suffered a bullet injury in his leg after accidentally misfiring his licensed revolver. The incident took place at his Juhu residence, following which he was immediately taken to CritiCare Hospital and admitted to the ICU. Doctors successfully extracted the bullet after an hour-long surgery.

Recalling the incident later, Govinda had said that the firearm went off while he was placing it inside a cupboard. “I was leaving for a show in Kolkata early morning around 5... woh giri aur chal padi (it fell and went off). I was stunned and then I saw a fountain of blood coming out,” he had shared after his recovery.

Sources close to the actor said that his condition is currently stable, and doctors are monitoring his health closely. Fans across the nation have expressed concern and are wishing the actor a speedy recovery.
