Karkala, Nov 24: The taluk-level Science Model competition for 2025 was organised at Christ King English Medium High School under the aegis of the Department of School Education, Government of Karnataka, and the Office of the Block Education Officer, Karkala.
The inaugural ceremony held in the morning began with CA Kamalaksha Kamath lighting the lamp. Speaking on the occasion, he said, “Students can build a bright future when they cultivate confidence, humanity, discipline, and positive thinking.”
Chief guest and block education officer of Karkala taluk, Girijamma, addressed the gathering and stated, “Every student possesses talent. When a student identifies and nurtures that talent, success in life becomes attainable.”


Indira, block resource coordinator, emphasised that students must imbibe human values through scientific learning.
Presiding over the programme, the headmistress of Christ King High School, Josna Snehalatha, remarked, “Every child has scientific thinking within them. Only when they nurture it can they advance in the field of science.”
The programme began with a brief introduction by block resource person Santosh Shetty.
High school teacher Ashwini Pai welcomed the gathering. Rekha Santosh compered the programme and proposed the vote of thanks.
PUC principal Lakshminarayana Kamath, primary section headmaster Rudolf Kishore Lobo, school counsellor Sr Dr Shalet Siqueira, and administrative officer Kiran Crasta, were present on the occasion.
