Chennai, Jan 26: The makers of Malayalam superstar Mohanlal’s much-anticipated next film, tentatively titled L367, have officially announced that the project will be directed by Vishnu Mohan, the National Award–winning filmmaker best known for his acclaimed debut Meppadiyan.
The yet-untitled film is being produced by Gokulam Gopalan under the Sree Gokulam Movies banner and is expected to be mounted on an expansive scale. With L367, the production house is gearing up for what is being described as one of its most ambitious ventures to date. The film will be co-produced by Baiju Gopalan and V. C. Praveen, with Krishnamoorthy serving as executive producer.
Vishnu Mohan, who earned widespread recognition with Meppadiyan, which went on to win a National Award, will both write and direct the film. Industry sources suggest that the project will feature a large canvas, bringing together prominent actors and leading technical experts from India and abroad, including talents from Bollywood.
Mohanlal shared his excitement about the collaboration on social media, announcing the project with enthusiasm. “With immense joy, I announce my next project, #L367. I am truly delighted to collaborate with director Vishnu Mohan on this exciting venture, produced by Shri Gokulam Gopalan under the banner of Sree Gokulam Movies. Looking forward to this new chapter and seeking all your love, blessings, and good wishes as we begin this beautiful journey together,” the actor wrote.
The makers are planning to commence shooting in the near future, with further details about the cast and technical crew expected to be revealed soon.
Sree Gokulam Movies currently boasts a strong lineup of high-profile projects, including Suresh Gopi’s Ottakomban, Aashakal Aayiram starring Jayaram and Kalidas Jayaram, Jayasurya’s Kathanar, a Nivin Pauly–B. Unnikrishnan collaboration, and Killer directed by S. J. Suryah. With L367 joining this slate, the banner continues to cement its position as a major force in Malayalam cinema.
