Veteran screenwriter Salim Khan, aged 90, admitted to Mumbai Hospital

Mumbai, Feb 17: Legendary Bollywood screenwriter Salim Khan, aged 90, has been admitted to a private hospital in Mumbai, sources confirmed. The veteran writer is currently in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, Salim’s eldest son, visited him earlier and left Lilavati Hospital in Bandra after spending time with his father. Other family members, including daughter Alvira Khan, son-in-law Atul Agnihotri, grandson Ayaan Agnihotri, and actor Ayush Sharma, husband of adopted daughter Arpita Khan, were also seen visiting the hospital.

Salim Khan, celebrated for his iconic collaborations with Javed Akhtar, has penned classics such as Sholay, Haathi Mere Saathi, Zanjeer, and Mr India. He recently celebrated his 90th birthday on November 24, 2025.
