Dharbandora, May 3: A tiger carcass was discovered in a forested area of Sacorda in Dharbandora, raising fresh concerns over wildlife safety in the region.
The animal was found in an advanced state of decomposition, with only the remains left, making it difficult for officials to immediately determine the cause of death. However, environmentalist Rajendra Kerkar alleged possible foul play, claiming that the tiger’s teeth and nails were missing — a sign often associated with poaching.

Kerkar further pointed out that four tiger deaths were reported in the state in 2020, suggesting a troubling pattern that may warrant closer scrutiny.
Forest department authorities are expected to carry out a detailed investigation to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the death and to determine whether illegal activities, including poaching, were involved.
