Bobby Deol’s ‘Bandar’ teaser unveils a stylish blend of intensity and retro charm

Mumbai, May 7: The makers of Bandar unveiled the film’s teaser on Wednesday, giving audiences a first look at the gritty yet vibrant world of the much-anticipated drama led by Bobby Deol.

Shared on Bobby Deol’s social media platforms, the teaser hints at a dark and intense storyline while simultaneously embracing a lively retro aesthetic. The actor appears in a striking disco-inspired avatar, dancing to a recreated version of the classic 1970s song Come On Baby, Dil Kisko Dogi, adding a nostalgic flavour to the teaser.

The film marks the first-ever collaboration between Bobby Deol and acclaimed filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, who directs the project.

The screenplay has been written by Sudip Sharma and Abhishek Banerjee, known for their work on acclaimed projects such as Paatal Lok, Kohraa, and Udta Punjab.

Alongside Bobby Deol, the film features an ensemble cast including Sanya Malhotra, Raj B Shetty, Sapna Pabbi, Saba Azad, Riddhi Sen, Jitendra Joshi, Indrajeet, and Nagesh Bhonsle.

The movie is particularly significant for Bobby Deol as it marks his return to the big screen as a solo lead actor after 17 years. In recent years, the actor has witnessed a strong career revival through acclaimed performances in Animal, Aashram, and Ba***ds of Bollywood.

The teaser reflects Anurag Kashyap’s signature storytelling style, gradually building suspense and intensity while maintaining a visually engaging pace.

Produced by Nikhil Dwivedi under Saffron Magicworks and backed by Zee Studios, the film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on June 5, 2026.

Bobby Deol, who has spent nearly three decades in the Hindi film industry, is known for popular films such as Soldier, Humraaz, Bichhoo, Barsaat, and Gupt. He made his Bollywood debut with Barsaat, which also introduced actress Twinkle Khanna to the film industry.
