Mumbai, May 9: Congratulatory messages continue to flood social media after Vijay Thalapathy secured a major victory in the recently concluded Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, marking his first electoral contest as a politician.

The win is being widely discussed not only for its scale but also because it is Vijay’s debut election, making the outcome a significant milestone in his political journey.

Amid the celebrations, actor Pooja Hegde has gone viral after claiming she had jokingly predicted his victory earlier. She shared a behind-the-scenes clip from the sets of the film Jana Nayagan, where both actors worked together.

In the video posted on Instagram, Pooja is seen pointing to a whiteboard question that reads, “Who wins the elections?” She then playfully gestures toward Vijay, suggesting he would emerge victorious. The moment visibly embarrassed Vijay, who is seen smiling and covering his face.

Sharing the clip, she wrote that she may have “called it before it happened,” adding that it was a moment where “dreams turn into reality” and congratulated him on the win.

She also shared an earlier post on her Instagram Stories congratulating Vijay, describing his journey as growing bigger with each step and expressing excitement over his political success.

According to reports, Vijay contested and won from two constituencies — Perambur in Chennai and Tiruchirappalli East — strengthening his position in Tamil Nadu politics.

Following his victory, several personalities from the film industry also extended their wishes on social media.
Actor Riteish Deshmukh congratulated Vijay, praising his achievement and expressing hope that he would work for public welfare with dedication and commitment.

Similarly, actress Keerthy Suresh lauded Vijay’s resilience, noting that his success reflected years of hard work, perseverance, and public connection, calling the win the beginning of a new political chapter for him.
