Officials said the committee has been directed to submit its report within a period of three months.

The panel comprises two senior geologists, three geologists, two survey officers and one mining engineer.

According to officials, the committee will compile and examine existing geological data, mine plans, departmental records and scientific literature related to the occurrence of critical minerals in Goa.
