Jerusalem, May 28: The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) anti-terror special units have arrested five suspected terrorists, including one individual allegedly planning a near-future attack in Judea and Samaria, during a series of coordinated operations.

According to the IDF, the arrests were carried out in three separate “special” operations across the West Bank region.

In Jenin, security forces detained a suspect who was reportedly planning to carry out an attack in the near future, the military said.

In another operation in Zeita village near Tulkarm, forces arrested a Hamas-linked operative accused of promoting terror-related activities.

In a separate raid in the Qalandia area and the nearby village of Al-Bireh, close to Jerusalem, IDF personnel detained three additional suspects. Among them was an armed individual alleged to have incited terror activity, and another suspect reportedly involved in assembling explosives.

The IDF said the operations were part of ongoing counter-terrorism efforts aimed at preventing planned attacks and dismantling militant networks operating in the region.
