Comedy and Melody: Kalangaan hosts 294th monthly theatre

Mangaluru, Jun 9: The 294th programme of Mandd Sobhann’s monthly theatre series held at Kalangaan on June 7, was a grand success. Loy Noronha, proprietor of Symphony Music Store, inaugurated the event by Ringing the Bell. Mandd Sobhann president Louis Pinto and secretary Ronald Crasta were present on the dais.

Following the brief inaugural stage programme, the drama troupe 'Comedy Company' staged a hilarious comedy play titled ‘Uprantch Kolchem’, written and directed by Nellu Permannur. The talented cast included Asunta, Sandeep, Lancy, Deepak, Maria, Jasmine, Royston and Romario. Raveen Martis provided music, while the lighting was managed by Earl.

The theatrical performance was followed by an energetic Musical Session Khushal Sobhan¸n featuring party songs by the ‘Maza Mogi’ team, led by Alron Rodrigues. Prominent singers Joyce Ozario, Raina Sequeira, Stephen Cutinha, Shilpa Cutinha, Sunil Monteiro, Rony Arun, Verlyn Goveas, and Verna Dsouza lent their melodious voices to the songs. They were supported by Kreethan D’Souza, Reinald Lobo and Aston D’Souza, who accompanied them on musical instruments.

Vitori Karkal and Srujana Viva Mathias smoothly compered the entire programme in a unique Akashvani style.
