Fire breaks out in AC unit of residential tower in Mumbai's Juhu; no casualties reported

Mumbai, Jun 11: A fire broke out in an air-conditioning unit at an 11-storey residential building in Mumbai's upscale Juhu locality on Thursday morning, officials said.

According to preliminary information, the blaze was reported at around 7.43 am at Manisha Building, located near Arogya Nidhi Hospital.

Officials said the fire was confined to an AC unit on the sixth floor of the building. No injuries or casualties have been reported in the incident so far.

Following the alert, at least four fire engines along with other firefighting vehicles were rushed to the spot. Firefighters immediately launched operations to bring the blaze under control.

Personnel from the Mumbai Police, a private electricity distribution company, the local ward office and ambulance services were also deployed at the site as a precautionary measure.

Firefighting operations were underway at the time of reporting, and authorities were assessing the cause of the incident. Further details are awaited.
