Mumbai, Jun 25: Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar) MLA Rohit Pawar has warned the Maharashtra government over the demand for a complete loan waiver for farmers, saying that the government would be shown the “strength of farmers” if their concerns are ignored.

Reacting to the issue of farm loan waiver, Rohit Pawar said the government must take concrete decisions considering the difficulties faced by farmers, rising agricultural costs and concerns over crop prices.

“We will show the government the strength of farmers,” Pawar said, while asserting that he would not step back from taking a stand for farmers’ rights.

He said farmers across the state are facing several challenges and a complete loan waiver is necessary to provide relief to them.

Pawar further warned that if the government continued to ignore farmers’ demands, the unity and collective strength of the farming community would be demonstrated.
