Tyre (Lebanon), Jul 11: Israeli air strikes in southern Lebanon have caused widespread destruction, damaging residential areas and several historic landmarks, including parts of the ancient city of Tyre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the world's oldest continuously inhabited settlements.

The strikes have left extensive devastation across southern Lebanon, with buildings reduced to rubble and key infrastructure severely affected.

Tyre, renowned for its rich archaeological heritage and historical significance, has also suffered damage during the bombardment, raising concerns over the preservation of one of the region's most important cultural sites.
