Indian Embassy in Kuwait limits consular services to emergencies until July 19

Daijiworld Media Network - Kuwait City

Kuwait City, Jul 11: The Indian Embassy in Kuwait has temporarily restricted its consular, passport and visa services to emergency cases only until July 19, citing administrative reasons.

In an official advisory, the Embassy said only applicants who can provide documentary proof of an urgent requirement will be allowed to avail themselves of consular services during the temporary restriction.

The emergency services that will continue to be provided include Tatkal passport issuance, Non-Resident Indian (NRI) certificates, short-validity passports for applicants whose Civil ID is nearing expiry, Emergency Certificates, and e-Visas.

The Embassy clarified that applications for regular passport services, document attestations and standard visa requests will neither be accepted nor processed until the restrictions are lifted.

It also announced that all Indian Consular Application Centres (ICACs) across Kuwait will remain closed for accepting applications until further notice.

Indian nationals requiring urgent assistance have been advised to visit the Embassy's Consular Wing between 9 a.m. and 12 noon, where officials will attend only to genuine emergency cases supported by the required documentation.

The Embassy said additional updates will be issued as the situation evolves and urged the Indian community in Kuwait to stay informed through its official communication channels and social media platforms.
