Mumbai, Jul 21: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will celebrate Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis' birthday on July 22 through a series of social service initiatives, including a statewide mega blood donation campaign and a revenue outreach programme.
The party has announced that Fadnavis' birthday will be observed as 'Seva Yagna Sankalp', with the primary focus on community welfare activities across Maharashtra.

As part of the initiative, the BJP will organise a Maha Raktdaan Abhiyan (mega blood donation campaign) across the state from July 19 to 23, with a target of collecting blood donations from one lakh donors.
Announcing the programme, BJP MP Dhananjay Mahadik extended birthday wishes to the Chief Minister and said the party would observe the occasion as Seva Diwas throughout Maharashtra.
Mahadik said the state government has planned several public welfare programmes from July 22 to August 5, beginning with a Revenue Campaign (Rajswa Abhiyan) to provide various government services to citizens.
Under the campaign, the Mukhyamantri Baliraja Shet Panand Raste Yojana will also be implemented to improve farm access roads across the state.
He said the revenue campaign would facilitate services such as corrections and registration of names in land records (7/12 extracts), calf registration, subdivision of land records and other revenue-related works.
Special camps will also be organised to address issues faced by persons with disabilities, youth, farmers and women.
Mahadik appealed to citizens to take advantage of the camps and urged people to participate in the blood donation drive on July 22 and 23.
"Blood donation is the greatest donation. Your blood can save someone's life. We appeal to people to participate in large numbers in the campaign," he said.
