Panaji, Nov 2: Parts of Goa received rainfall on Sunday, bringing brief relief from the heat, with light to moderate showers accompanied by thundershowers reported at isolated places in Sattari and Bicholim talukas.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast light to moderate rain and thundershowers across the state on November 3 and 4, as a deep depression over the Bay of Bengal is expected to intensify into a severe cyclonic storm.

Light rain and thundershowers are also likely on November 5, while dry weather is expected to return on November 6 and 7.

However, the weather system is unlikely to have any significant impact on temperatures in Goa, the IMD indicated.

On Sunday, Panaji recorded a maximum temperature of 33°C and a minimum of 24.7°C, while Mormugao registered 32.6°C and 24°C, respectively. Relative humidity stood at 71 per cent in Panaji and 92 per cent in Mormugao.
