Fr James D’Souza celebrated his silver jubilee celebration of his priesthood in Beltangady parish in a solemn mass with the faithful of Beltangady parish.
Fr James D’Souza celebrated the Eucharist along with 20 other priests and about four thousand faithful people. The Apostolic Nuncio, Archbishop Fr Ambrose Madtha preached the homily.
The felicitation programme began with a prayer song. Lancy Pereira, coordinator of programme welcomed the president Apostolic Nuncio, Archbishop Ambrose Madtha. The chief guests were Fr James D’Souza, parish priest, Fr Paul Prakash, assistant parish priest, vice-president Vincent D’Souza, secretary John Arvin D’Souza and coordinator Lancy Pereira.
Fr Paul Prakash welcomed the guests and the gathering for the function. Vincent D’Souza read out the letter of the apostolic sea. Fr James D’Souza expressed his gratitude for all those who helped in building the new church under the leadership of Melwin Correa.
John Arvin D’Souza proposed the vote of thanks. Ronald D’Mello and Raina D’Souza compered the programme. K Vasantha Bangera M LA Beltangady, Blosam, Shri Harish Kumar among others were present on the occasion.
