Eighteen passengers were injured in an accident involving multiple vehicles near the Gopalakrishna temple, Kanipura – Kumbla, on national highway, on Tuesday June 12.
 


A Maruti Omni plying from Mangalore airport with passengers from Povval, near here, collided head-on with a Mahindra & Mahindra Scorpio, while a car behind the Scorpio hit an electric pole to avoid the collision.
 
Eighteen passengers including Maruti Omni driver Muneer, Rashid Mohammed, Abdulla, Anshid, Samira, Kubra, and Mazamil were injured in the ghastly accident.
