Oil Price: Indian Basket down by US$ 96.79 /bbl


New Delhi, June 19 (IBNS) The international crude oil price for Indian Basket as computed/published on Tuesday by the Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas declined to US$ 95.86 /barrel (bbl) on June 18.

The price was lower than US$ 96.79 /bbl on the previous trading day of June 15.

In rupee terms, also the crude oil price decreased to Rs 5329.82 per bbl on  June 18 from Rs 5397.01 per bbl on June 15.

This was due to decrease in the price in dollar terms and rupee appreciation with rupee-dollar exchange rate on  June 18 at Rs 55.60 /US$ against Rs 55.76  /US$ on June 15.
