Mangalore, Jun 19: As a result of heavy rainfall in the city, the compound wall of a house in Urwa collapsed due to the force of water flowing in the stream.

The incident was reported here in the house belonging to Shanti D’Souza of Hoige Bailu Road, Urwa. Due to the force of water flowing in the stream beside her house, the place was smoothened, as a result of which the compound wall collapsed.

No other part of the house was damaged, however, the villagers put up some barricades to protect from further break down. The house was recently built and temporary relief was arranged.
