Committee Invites Stakeholders' Views on Oil and Gas Output Sharing Contracts

New Delhi, Jul 3 (IANS): A panel headed by the Prime Minister's Economic Advisory Council chairman C. Rangarajan Tuesday invited stakeholders' views on formulating future production sharing contracts (PSCs) in the oil and gas sector.

Interested persons or organisations may send their views not later than by July 31, 2012, and should send these to the committee's secretary, Joint Secretary (Exploration), Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, the petroleum ministry said in a statement.

The prime minister has set up the committee to review production sharing contracts in view of the recent spat between Reliance Industries and petroleum ministry over the issue.

The committee has been asked to submit its recommendations by Aug 31 this year.
