I'm Never Satisfied With my Work: Imtiaz Ali

New Delhi, Aug 2 (IANS): Director Imtiaz Ali has made commercially successful films like "Jab We Met" and "Rockstar", but says he isn't satisfied with his body of work.

"I am never satisfied. There is nothing that I have ever done that gives me any satisfaction beyond the couple of days after the film has released," Ali said at the ongoing 12th Osian's-Cinefan Film Festival here.

"Although people would say a lot of things are satisfactory as far as my films are concerned, there are many points of dissatisfaction that I have from my films," he added.

The 41-year-old filmmaker was here along with his "Rockstar" crew - lyricist Irshad Kamil and cinematographer Anil Mehta for a panel discussion on the 2011 film, which features Ranbir Kapoor and Nargis Fakhri.

The critically acclaimed film was a story about aspiring musician, who goes on to become a rockstar. Ranbir played Jordan, the protagonist, while singer Mohit Chauhan was his voice in the film.

Ali was all praises for Ranbir, and he has reportedly decided to rope in the actor for his next film as well.

Though he didn't talk about his new project, he said: "Ranbir was present at all the recordings of the film. He was even present at music discussions, as part of his own research for his film."
