Mangalore: Konkani Natak Sabha Dance Competition Brings Forth Young Talents

Mangalore, Sep 3: Konkani Natak Sabha organized dance competition for different parishes of Mangalore diocese at Don Bosco Hall here on Sunday September 2.

The competition was held in three categories: Below 10 years, 10 to 15 years and above 15 years in ladies duet, gents duet, mixed group and married couple. 201 participants in 76 entries from 14 parishes took part in the competition.

In the below 15 years category, Angelore parish bagged the first place while Bondel parish stood second and Cordel, Milagres and Katipalla bagged the third place.

In the above 15 years category, Angelore Parish bagged the first place, Bondel and Jeppu stood second and Cordel bagged the third place.

Pramod Alva, Shalet Pinto and Sapna were the judges for the competition.

President Fr Peter Cyprian D’Souza welcomed the gathering. Aloysius D’Souza and Dolphy Saldanha compered the programme, Convenor Praveen Rodrigues the proposed vote of thanks. Convenor Michael Monteiro introduced the judges and general secretary Sunil Menezes announced the results.

All the spectators in the hall enjoyed the programme to the maximum.
