Mangalore: Mech Engg Department Student Association Inaugurated at SJEC

Mangalore, Sep 10: The mechanical department of St Joseph Engineering College inaugurated the students association –Torque on Thursday, September 6, at 3 pm at the department seminar hall.

Ravindra Vasant Shenvi, HR head, Suzlon Energy Limited was the chief guest. Dr Joseph Gonsalvis, principal, SJEC presided over the function. Fr Joseph Lobo, director, SJEC was the guest of honour.  Dr Raju K, HOD in-charge of the mechanical department and Shreeranga Bhat coordinator of Torque were present on the dais.

 

Akshay Shenoy the president of Torque welcomed the dignitaries. The student association was inaugurated by lighting of the lamp.

Chief Guest, Ravindra Vasant Shenvi addressed the audience by giving an educative and informative presentation on Suzlon Energy Limited. He also stated that knowledge, skill and attitude are the important factors that help to sustain in the corporate world. 

Fr Joseph Lobo, director, in his speech motivated the students to unite their ideas for a brighter future.  Dr Joseph Gonsalvis urged the students to be actively involved with the association activities.

Chirag Shetty, the vice president of Torque proposed the vote of thanks. Oleen Dsilva was the master of ceremony.
