Toyota Mulls Cutting 2013 Domestic Sales Target

Tokyo, Dec 7 (IANS): Toyota Motor Corp is considering cutting its 2013 annual domestic sales target to 1.36 million units, down about 19 percent from this year, Japanese media said Friday.

Toyota plans to sell 1.67 million units in 2012. The cut in its domestic annual sales target in 2013 will be the first in two years, reported Xinhua.

The cut is due to the end of the government subsidy programme for the purchase of environmentally friendly cars, Kyodo cited sources as saying.
