Oooops,, its really very sad to read such news... This is very clear of drivers of buses driving carelessly.. Why aren't they stopped & warned to drive within speed limits?? Overspeed driving is killing innocent people on the roads. Why can't BD members take initiative to warn the speeding drivers??? And why can't traffic police also warn these speeding drivers? so that some of the innocent lives will be saved!!!

Dear readers I agree with Raghu Veer, Mangalore/Bangalore/Bantwal.
We are always in the habit of blaming the Heavy Vehicles. I do not support nor I say that they are perfect.
I have been driving two wheeler and four wheeler for the last 32 years, in Mysore, Mangalore and abroad too. It is a real nightmare to drive in India. Many a times the two wheelers and autos just do not bother to drive carefully and follow the rules. They endanger the lives and properties of others, thus either they get killed and blame comes on the other driver even though other driver is correct or they kill or injure others. They enter in the wrong way , overtake from the wrong sides specially one way roads where the other driver least expect it. This is evident from the spate of accidents taking place in and around Mangalore. Everybody seems to be in Hurry while driving and Results = ACCIDENTS. Seeing is believing.
It is no point in blaming others but we should drive carefully, respecting the other road users. This way, precious lives will not be lost on the roads. Jai Hind.

Yes we have to blame the bus owners and their drivers. These drivers always having competation to catch the customers no matter what, u have to see their rough driving, they should be punished by the locals only. They know they can escape from the Police & The Law

There is no eye test before issuing License in Bharath!

Where as all major and developed & developing countries follow this rule.

If there is no rule before issuing license,
How can you expect them to follow the rule after,

In India specially in DK-Mangalore, Bus driver meanse he is a GOVERNER of the ROADS.

Daiji would be doing a humanitarian effort if it takes up the mission of "Safe NH66" in saving the precious lives of innocent and expose the nexus between RTO and private bus owners. My humble request, Sir.

What we can expect when big busses are given to drive into the hands people who were riding bullock carts sometime back. Getting a driving licence in India most easier than any other country in the world. Agents are waiting out side RTO offices every where to help and get licence without any difficulty even for people never learned about road safty

Looks like these private bus owners are having a quota to kiss some X number of people.Or else it's not at all acceptable to see so many people dying because of these private busses. So many accidents and deaths on this NH 66, just because of these private busses. Unfortunately still we see them driving same way, rash, no driving manners / descipline. they just threat like a Yama when they approach you. Choice for you will be either let them or die. What's all the leaders, RTO authorities, Police are doing ... Just deply Govt busses on this NH and ban all private busses. Everything will be taken care automatically.

Why not Government ban 'licenses' to private owners..it looks like big lobby behind it..should be handedover to Government Body..atleast accidents will be less. For Heavy vehicles should keep minimum age of driver to be..32..atleast he will be somewhat experienced. Moreover should remove ladies seat from back of driver's seat and to be shifted in the last. Most of driver's are driving bus while viewing from rear mirror to women's. having loud filmy songs..by which occurance of accidents are in high..!!
