Moodbidri: Centenarian follows wife in death

Moodibidri: Till death do us apart - Centenarian follows wife in death

Daijiworld Media Network – Moodbidri (SP/VM)

Moodbidri, May 28: While exchanging wedding vows, couple take oath to follow each other through trials and tribulations, and remain compatible throughout their lives. Rarely do they sincerely follow these vows after the marriage ceremony.

However, Angara Shetty, a centenarian from Daregudde Padubettu near here, kept his wedding promise. His wife, Narsi Shedthi (90), breathed her last at around 3.30 pm on Monday May 27.

As soon as this news spread, relatives started visiting the house of the deceased to pay their last respects. The same day, Angara too passed away, after finishing the final rites of his wife.

It is said that Angara had suffered a heart attack two months ago. His family had lost hopes, but he survived.

The deceased couple is survived by five sons and four daughters.

    "Until Death do us part"
It should not apply to this love birds couple.
God, let death not part them. Keep them together in your heavenly abode with that loving hand of his around his loved one forever and ever.

I would say to their relatives - rejoice and do not grieve. Keep them in your heart forever for such a couple is very rare to come across!

In today's world, People/Media is giving more importance to divorce, extra affairs and relationship. Instead of giving importance to all this I request you to publish interviews/articles of such long living people/couples where something positive we can learn from their real life. May the Almighty God Bless their souls and rest in peace.
