M'lore: St Aloysius Pre-university student council inaugurated

Mangalore, Jul 2: St Aloysius Pre-university student council inauguration was held on Monday July 1, at Loyola Hall.

The vice principal and director of the student council welcomed the gathering. The college choir invoked the blessings of the almighty and a group of students presented a welcome dance.

The chief guest J R Lobo MLA, Mangalore South inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp, principal Fr Elvis Lewis SJ, vice principal and director of the student council Rekha Alva, dean and associate director of the student council Dr Ganesh Amin, the dignitaries on stage joined-in in the lighting of the lamp.

The II PUC student representatives Rahul Vas,  Neil Rego, Jestine Danti  the student elect office bearers  were sworn in as the president ,secretary and joint secretary of the student council respectively by the principal of the college. The class representatives, cultural representatives, association secretaries and joint secretaries also took the oath as the members of the student council.

The chief guest J R Lobo MLA, Mangalore South gave his message to the students and motivated them to take up the responsibilities and become good leaders. The principal Fr Elvis Lewis SJ gave the presidential remarks and told the students to aspire for greater goals.

Reena J Monteiro, assistant director of the student council proposed the vote of thanks.
