Kuwait, Sep 15 : Thursday September 12 was an evening symbolizing a precise blend of solemnity and unity for United Mangaloreans Kuwait (UMK)
UMK celebrated  'Monthi Fest', a family festival of love, peace and togetherness. The celebration was held at Indian Public School, Salmiya in the evening from 9.00pm. The program began with prayer/Rosary by Doris Lobo and singing the hymn ‘Moriye Christa Maye’ followed with everyone consuming the blessed new crop (Novem) in milk.

Agnel Saldanha, UMK’s Gurkar welcomed the gathering. In his address, he stated that, this year UMK has taken a break by not staging any program and requested the members to gear-up for the grand 5th year’s celebration in 2014.

Agnel thanked the members of UMK for the solid unity, dedication and selfless efforts which resulted in showcasing four successful ‘Fun-Filled Evenings’  during the past years and thus enabled to contribute 44 lac Rupees for four needy charitable organizations back home in Mangalore, India.

Also remembered, thanked and prayed for the well-being of all the generous donors of UMK, for their whole hearted support to make UMK’s noble cause come to reality in a big way.

Kevin D’Souza wished all the best to the UMK and invoked God’s blessings for the future endeavours.

DJ Ronald D’Souza filled liveliness to the event by playing devotional hymns and foot-tapping numbers.

Anand D’Souza of ‘Illuminations’ provided the sound. Prem Crasto captured the moments in his camera.

Gathered guests were entertained by various games conducted by Joel Pinto, Kevin D’Souza and Vrinda Lewis.

Lucy Aranha lead the grace before the meal.

Mouth watering Mangalorean delicacy  by M&M Confectionary served on traditional Shiroti (banana leaf) and the guests enjoyed the food having it sitting on the floor.
All the expenses shared by UMK family.
